Wrong 'nym?

Something that just happened on here just made me think of something that I have been wondering. Have you ever accidentally posted something under the wrong 'nym? I think I have when I was a bit younger and used more 'nyms on one forum, but since then I have usually stuck to one at a time, and so haven't had that problem. :)

No, but my in-laws have a family forum with a front page that looks too similar to this one, so I keep typing in TheAnswerIs42 instead of my real name in the box and trying to log in there. OOps . . .

The Board's internal forum looks similar to this one, so sometimes I forget who I'm talking too... I usually catch myself before I reveal anybody's identity, though!

Also, I've been mocked for misspelling my own 'nym once or twice.

:) No I misspelled different 'nyms, though. See here for one example.

I'm actually mildly surprised that Quandary didn't tease you directly in your question. :D

I enjoyed those links, Portia. Thanks! However, as much as I liked Quandary's response to question 32773, I unfortunately must disagree with him. It is, in point of fact, possible to be missing an X chromosome and still survive (if you're female). It's a genetic disorder called Turner's Syndrome: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turner_syndrome

Somehow I doubt that Tongue-tied was often (ever?) flirting with girls with Turner's syndrome. I concede your point, but you have to admit that he should have said lacking a Y chromosome. :)

Yes, I agree that he was probably not flirting with girls with Turner's syndrome. It's not very common. I'm sure tongue-tied meant "lacking a y chromosome."
