I know this is a long-shot, and also that this is shameless exploitation of the Board Board. But I'm looking for a job in the Fort Worth area, specifically in editing/publishing, education, or general office work. Do any of you have connections in that area you might be able to refer me to?

Well, during my job search, I received an unsolicited call from Liberty Insurance in Fort Worth asking if I were interested in "working for them" (without telling me WHAT exactly I'd be doing). It was really kind of awkward; it sounds like they're desperate.

It's not much, but maybe you could look into it? I don't have any connections to speak of, unfortunately.

I have friends in Fort Worth but in some kind of engineering field.
