Obviously, the goal is to get it without using the Internet. Of course, it will also be too easy if you saw the episode and heard the question already, too. This could be a thread for passing on good ones you saw on Jeopardy! or trying your hand at answer-composing, if anyone finds the idea worth doing.

Tonight's Final Jeopardy! answer:

Shortly after he received the 1990 Nobel Peace Prize, his country ceased to exist.

My guess was for Kruschshev...or Gorbachev? It's come to the point that I can't remember who was who anymore.

Yeah, 1990 the dissolution of the soviet bloc is a good thought.... Gorbachev sounds like a good guess. But does the U.S.S.R. becoming Russia count as "ceas(ing) to exist?"

They must believe so, because "Who is Mikhail Gorbachev?" was the right question.

Well, yeah, the country the "USSR" doesn't exist anymore. Russia does. The USSR contained a lot of other places, Russia was just one of them. Anyway, I guess Jeopardy and I are on the same page at least. :D

Russia actually celebrates its independence day from the USSR. I was there for it once. Our Russian hostess thought it was silly. Sounds like she belongs to the camp Marduk's questioning.
