Can someone explain to me why Endnote is so great?

It does all my citations for me, and should I decide to change styles, it can go through and change them for me. I don't have to worry about typing all my citations correctly and missing something. If i want to add another reference to the same source earlier than first thought and it has multiple authors it will automatically change the later reference to et al, and i don't have to worry about forgetting it.

I don't know a whole lot about it, really, but it has been super useful for my 16 ten page papers I've written this semester.

I've used bibtex for the same purpose, and if you do any papers in LaTeX I highly recommend it. So much easier to just put all the information in, tell it what citation style you need, and let it handle things.

I HATE ENDNOTE
but I use it for every paper because it keeps track of all my citations.
but man, is it the world's most awful product. I'm always needing to muck about in the settings to create my own citation style to make it conform to real citation guidelines.

I would never use anything like this. Writing the bibliography is my favorite part of writing a paper. I love it.

Ditto, although I've forgotten all of the normal citation styles in favor of the bizarre one librarians use.
