Would you date a 5'7" Hispanic?

Are there a plenitude* of 5'7" Hispanic men roaming the campus and moaning about dating? Because when I read
this question I thought maybe we'd heard from him before. The tone of the questions is enough different that it might not be the same guy, but if it is, I feel bad for him. Not only that he can't get a second date, but that he's letting his height and race define him so much when it comes to dating (or, at least, that's how I'm reading it).
Here's the previous question:
at this link (I love you MSJ)
Also, I can't remember any of my roommates influencing me to date or not date anyone I went out with. There were times that, after my interest in someone waned, one would say, "Oh, good, I didn't think he was right for you" but that's all. I think he's dating the wrong kind of girls, like The Detective said.
*After looking at this word for a while, I'm starting to think I should've used a different word? It's just that "plethora" gets so overused sometimes...

I would date a 5'7" Hispanic guy. I don't really care at all about height (and that's 2 inches taller than me, which would probably be fine if I did care about the height), and the Hispanic part would just be a bonus. Especially if he actually speaks Spanish because then I could practice my Spanish with him.

I've thought plenty of Hispanic guys were attractive, and 5'7" is a fine height for me. Sounds like this guy is hanging out in the wrong crowds.

5'7" is three inches taller than me, and I've dated several guys in that height range. Hispanic isn't an issue, either, although, like the Entropy Ninja said, race is not the same thing as culture.

considering i HAVE dated a 5'7" hispanic guy in the past, i definitely would. unless he was as whiny as he came across in the question. then....not so much.

Yeah, neither 5'7" nor Hispanic are deal-breakers for me, but I do have other criteria. And I let my roommates iron them out for me!!1! JKLOL

Been waiting! If you're curious, Marduk first joined the boardboard because he asked a (kind of but not really similar) question and then we all started talking about him...
here.

I'd date pretty much any guy that met my reasonable demands. Namely an active member of the church and a worthy priesthood holder. I'm not really that picky. I do have a slightly longer list of requirements for my future husband, but I think that they are just as reasonable and things that you wouldn't know before knowing each other for awhile.

Sure. Like apparently many women here (unsurprising, given the Gaussian distribution of female height), this is 3" taller than me. Bonus points if the hypothetical guy looks like Antonio Banderas and will take me to visit his fam in Buenos Aires.

I guess maybe I should mention that I'm 5'7". Last guy I dated was maybe 5'8" but I had no problem wearing heels around him, and I'm trying not to be picky about height when, as Unit points out, there are more important things to be picky about.
Also, I love being my height.

Marduk is a little taller than that, and only half Hispanic, but yeah. The culture can be a bit of a shock (I am a very shy person, and was quite distressed when being introduced at a family dinner meant that all of the cousins and siblings had to hug me and kiss me on the cheek), but as long as someone doesn't actually hate physical affection they'll be fine after a while. And as we have discussed before (such as in the thread about Marduk that C4 linked to), the physical features of a man often matter less to a potential date then the man would think.
I will be very honest here: when I first met Marduk, I was not physically attracted to him. However, I did not let that deter me from getting to know him better, and now it almost doesn't matter what he looks like (seriously, though, I really think you should grow the beard back) because there are other things about him that make him attractive to me.
In conclusion, chill out and start hanging out with more girls without worrying so much about what you look like. Someone will come along.

You know, I actually don't find the vast majority of men to be physically attractive. I don't find them to be unattractive, either. I may have even said something about this in the Marduk thread. I would say maybe about 5% of the men I see are in the attractive category and about 1% are in the unattractive category. The rest all kind of look about the same to me. In a way that's kind of good because it means my relationships have been built on things other than looks (and I might add that in my mind physical attraction is a very different thing from sexual attraction, so just because I don't think a guy is gorgeous doesn't mean I don't want to kiss him). And when I do find a guy to be physically attractive, I'm not even sure what does it for me. The last guy that I couldn't stop looking at because I thought he was so hot actually looked a lot like George Costanza. So I guess my point is that I really don't care that much what men look like.

I'm with you here. I mean, HECK YEAH, it would be a nice bonus if a guy looked like Hugh Grant or the redhead from Grey's Anatomy (oh gosh I love redheads). But the vast majority of men fall into the category of "fairly neutral until I get to know them."
Also, the last guy I went on a date with was Hispanic and about 5'9. I wouldn't have cared if he were an inch or two shorter, though, cause I'm only about 5'2, myself.
