So, I sent this in as a comment but apparently the writers decided it wasn't different enough for posting, but figured I'd bring it over here just in case, because it does give additional info the writers didn't give.
The writers only answered about recording music, not transcribing it, which I'm pretty sure is what the questioner was asking about. Oh well, they may never know...If you want to try your hand at entering it yourself, let's not forget BYU's ALMA lab which is located in C-485 in the HFAC (that is just at the end of the southwest patio area). They have digital keyboards connected to computers with both Finale and Sibelius which you can use to enter sheet music. I'm not sure about Finale, since I haven't worked with it as much, but Sibelius will even let you save to a PDF so you can use the music later even if you don't have the program.
Also, you don't have to be a music major to use the ALMA lab, just check the schedule on the door for open times - anyone can use it then.
