men's build

Really, really skinny with no muscles to speak of is my ideal. Runner's body. The taller you are the more it heightens the effect. My best friend never understood my obsession with scrawny, gangly guys and married someone stocky, built like an ex-football player. we both went to byu, so there's clearly variation.

I prefer solid/stocky/chubby guys to stick-thin ones. I even submitted a comment saying as much, since I felt that perspective was underrepresented in the answers.

I like big guys. I wouldn't not date a guy because he was skinny, but I find bigger guys to be more attractive.

I was never picky. But my husband likes to laugh at how much I like watching Olympic swimmers. They have muscle definition in their hips that I love.
Who knows, my husband might have that muscle from his Ironman training, but I'd have trouble finding it under all of his chest hair. Wasn't that another question asked recently? Chest hair should only be shaved for swim meets. Otherwise I guess you could trim it a bit if you wanted, but never shaved off.

Well, I guess I'm the norm, because I have always found tall skinny guys most attractive. I only ever dated ... husky ... gentlemen previous to this, though.

Oh, and 42, wasn't there a coalition of Board Writers For Manscaping?

Personally, I've always been a bear guy.

I have only been really attracted to three guys in my lifetime. One was tall and skinny, one was about average height and muscle-y, and one is tall and... chubby.

The guys I've dated range from 6'8" and super skinny to a short (I couldn't wear heels to a dance I went with him to) and stocky guy. I ended up marrying a 6'1" guy that is fairly skinny. I guess in general I dated skinnier guys, but it wasn't exclusive. And I really liked the feel of a good bicep.

I had an aquafit instructor a while ago who was a bear, and if were a man, I totally would have dated him.

Then I suppose you'd love the scene in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes with Jane Russell and the entire U.S. Men's swim team.

I've tended to be attracted to short-to-medium-height guys, because I'm a rather short woman. The guy I'm dating now ... has a bit extra around the midsection, which I kind of like. The guy I dated before him was short (maybe 5'5?) and skinny, skinny, skinny. It actually made me feel a bit insecure because he weighed less than I did.
