Okay, so major props to Eirene for verifying these exist and finding purported reasons for it. Now, the more important part -- how do we import this into Mormon culture? More importantly, if we are successful, what implications would this have for live nativities?

I... was going to say something, but decided I have no comment.
In any case, in the first annual "100 Hour Board Board" Nativity, I am willing to bear the roll of the poo squatter.
Also, someone made brownies the other day. So now, as my cheese crisp broils, it smells like brownies. #random

I love "The idea that God will manifest himself when he is ready, without regard for whether we human beings are ready or not." I will be thinking about this now every time I am on the toilet. In fact, I think I'll make a plaque and hang it above the toilet, just to remind everyone. The discovery of the caganer is just the impetus I needed to start my holiday decorating.

That's very kind of you to offer to carry the roll of toilet paper for the poo squatter. Would you also be willing to play the role of the poo squatter?
