I'm liberal, but I get acutely embarrassed. The
whole situation would be unbearably mortifying to me. Hopefully no man proposes to me on the JumboTron, or I shall cry.

Word. As another more liberal person, I would have definitely been too embarrassed. Of course, I would have probably been too embarrassed to walk near the person conducting interviews with a camera crew in the first place.
But seriously, the video was cute, but I also felt awkward for everyone.

But I think there's a difference between thinking it's embarrassing and thinking it's inappropriate.

Agreed. I admit I was surprised when I first saw the video because, hey, kissing! But kissing under the mistletoe is a tradition and a sweet one in most people's eyes.
