What made it not credible? Were you able to make it to the coordinates?

I, for one, had never heard of anyone going geohashing. It seems...really adventurous.

And I guess I just don't have adventurous friends.

(But I do have a father with a GPS...I wonder if he'd be interested in this...)

It's on my list of things to do over the summer.

I've never been geohashing but I did stumble across a geocache site while snow shoeing a few weeks ago. It was exciting to find even though we weren't looking for it.

Our Young Woman's leader found it before the activity and made sure we found it in a timely manner. It felt like cheating.

I just want to make sure... You went geohashing or geocaching?

...geocaching. Either way. It felt like a waste of time to me.

Oh. If we're going to talk about geocaches that are a little less than real, one time after a high school dance one of my friend's dads actually set up a geocache for us to find after the dance at like midnight. And we were all dressed in horrible DI clothes, hiking up this mountain...

There's a difference between geocaching and geohashing...there's nothing to find besides the location for the latter.

I am aware of that now. In fact, as soon as this thread was created I was like, ...wait...crap.

You can check them out at the HBLL for four hours at a time.

Hrm. Depends on how far away the location is.

I think we should all geohash to Arizona!

That's a bit further than four hours.

Steal it then apologize?

What I'm saying is where there's a will, there's a way.
