One, I googled it, so now I know. And two, it was in the title sequence of more than one American tv show. But I'm guessing you mean the recent one.

Interesting. According to this link which has the answer, it looks like the house was in a number of films and in some other TV show episodes. It was also in another show's title sequence besides the show that is listed fourth in that list?

Hopefully this one's not as easily Googleable I still suppose it's easy.
This canal that never freezes (and whose name is related to that fact) is in a country whose name is related to a direction.

I sort of cheated by looking at the wikipedia page of a suspicious canal in a suspicious country. That was a lot easier than the first question as I'd never heard of that show and didn't recognize the house.
