Squirrel, we need to be friends. Apple Dumpling Gang, Father of the Bride, North Avenue Irregulars, and Operation Petticoat are some of my favorite movies of all time. Also, M.A.S.H. and Hogan's Heroes.
Actually, I just love you all. I was going to say that you can't possibly skip Some Like it Hot but then saw that serendipity has me covered.
Instead, I will suggest also watching Father Goose. It's another excellent classic comedy.

YAY! I always like making new friends! It's great to find out that some people like the "old movies" too
I know my family has Father Goose, but I've never gotten around to watching it... maybe I should!

It's one of my favorites. The premise: a soldier at Pacific outpost during WWII playing host to a very proper teacher and the young girls in her care. Much loves.

I grew up watching Father Goose, so it's a family favorite. My sister has three young kids, and they were watching it for the first time recently, only my four-year-old niece thought it was scary when the Japanese planes came and shot up the shack. Normally when her kids get scared of something in a movie my sister says "Don't worry, that monster's not real" or something along those lines. So when my niece got scared my other niece leaned over and said "Don't worry, Japanese people aren't real." My sister burst out laughing and had to explain that Japanese people are real, but that they don't usually go around shooting up peoples' houses, and the only reason they did it in the movie was because of the war.
