Interesting question. I think Anne, Certainly is absolutely right that there are significant sampling issues here, but one additional factor is that couples in an interfaith relationship may have to actively discuss more aspects of their relationship, while couples in a same-faith relationship may (wrongly) assume that both partners have the same faith-influenced standards, opinions, goals, etc. (There's also the issue that Mormon men are more likely to buy into Mormon cultural standards, such as expecting women to want to be SAHMs, but the reader didn't seem to be talking about those kinds of issues.)
