If you were in good academic standing when you left BYU, it's super easy to reapply. However, I'm wondering if having to reapply would cause you to lose any 4-year scholarships. That would suck.

I reapplied and was admitted even being on academic warning.
I had used the four years of my scholarship, so that was moot, but I encourage anyone trying to keep theirs to be proactive. Once my GPA was right on the 3.50 borderline, so I proactively wrote a letter explaining the circumstance. They also treated me fairly when I wanted to use it for spring/summer and had a hard time with minimum credit hours. (Did pay, but didn't take it away.) I was pleased with the office overall
In this case, it would suck to have a scholarship lost unjustly. But I'm optimistic the office would work with him or her. :-)
