3. "Curtains" by Peter Gabriel
4. "Vuelie" from Frozen
5. "Kate" from Nancy Drew: The Silent Spy

1. "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World
2. "Nothing Without You" by Vienna Teng
3. "Shasta" by Vienna Teng
4. "Keep Your Head Up" by Andy Grammer
5. "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors

I am guiltily including several songs that came out a long time ago...but I just like them too much!

I'm not sure I've ever heard anything by Andy Grammer before, and it isn't necessarily my "style," but this song is just REALLY peppy and tends to come on the radio at moments I need it. Ditto for #5.

I could easily switch in any number of songs by Vienna Teng for numbers 2 and 3. Definitely a must to check out if you like folk music. (Her newer stuff is kind of weird, but if you like that, hey.)

Favorite LATEST songs?

Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974. It's a scientific fact.

I think my taste in music runs a little moodier than most others'. My favorite songs right now are all Modest Mouse (the early stuff), Cat Power, and Nirvana.

Here's another super interesting question my friend posed to me a while ago: what five albums best represent your taste in music? These may or may not be the same as your favorite albums.

Plans, Death Cab for Cutie
Heartbeat Radio, Sondre Lerche
The Nutcracker, Tchaicovksy
Apparently Sigh No More, Mumford & Sons, acc. to Pandora
Stereotypically, the Garden State soundtrack

I was pretty unimpressed with the Board answers. Not to be a snob or anything, but there didn't seem to be a single genuinely interesting song.

also, Marduk: <3

EDIT: On second thought, I liked Hobo's recommendations. And honestly, it's physically impossible to hate Pharrell's "Happy."
