recommendations site

So I have a super vague question. There was a recommendations site -- books, restaurants, music -- that was all the rage circa 2009 or 2010. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? Like Goodreads and Yelp combined. Pretty simple UI.

No, it wasn't music-specific. It was much more about overall taste curation.

I know that
http://metacritic.com reviews a lot of things... I'm not sure about restaurants, though.
