So for my Technical Writing class, I'm supposed to interview a professional in my field about "how they use communication" or some such (I missed the day when they explained it). Those of you who majored in linguistics, how has technical communication helped you? Answers regarding jobs unrelated to linguistics are good too, as long as you majored in it. It sounds like the "interview" can be pretty casual, so I decided mine will be forum-based instead of face-to-face.

My sister majored in linguistics and has found her passion in HR. Unfortunately, I don't know how she uses technical communication in her area of work.
