1920s costume

So I procrastinated on getting a costume, so I have to throw something together. I'm thinking a 1920s-as-filtered-through-Baz Luhrmann getup: more Isla Fisher (she is so. hot.) than Zelda Fitzgerald, because I don't have the complexion or figure to pull off the latter.
What I have:
Cloche hat
Many shades of red lipstick
Character shoes
Many shades of stockings and tights (probably black and thick because cold)
Two or three dresses that could work. I don't believe in drop waist, though. So really this might be more like a 1930s look.
Opera gloves
What I don't have:
How to do my hair.
Marcelled would be the most accurate, but that's not happening. I could do an Isla updo, and I'm loving the headband, though with a hat, maybe just curls. HOW COULD WOMEN WORK AND DO THIS TO THEIR HAIR THO
]
A crazy fake fur jacket. Hope I can find one at Savers.
A good clutch. Saw some at a boutique near me.
Appropriate sunglasses. I'll probably fake this one.
A good manicure. I currently have a very anachronistic chipping bronze number.
Imogen, you have experience in this. Any suggestions?
