Oh, Mel, thou art our dearest reader here
Alack, my days of Board writing are past
Yet still my heart to Boardom is tied fast
My love of the pen (keyboard?) is still clear.
"What have you been doing, Portia?" you pray.
"Run more than a mile to the GRE
Have young men fall in love and out with me
Keep pushing back my gradutation day
"See my family for a week at a time
Practice piano, and learn to cook steak
Reaching adulthood and try not to break
Composing poems and hoping they rhyme."
I'v gone to a land that is new and free
