For those of you who will be around on Saturday the 20th of December, my family is having a party. We have 12 different "A Christmas Carol" movies, and will be showing them throughout the day.

9:00 AM A Sesame Street Christmas Carol

9:45 A Flintsones Christmas Carol

10:55 A Christmas Carol (1938) - starring Reginald Owen

12:05 PM Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol

1:00 Scrooge (1970) - a musical, starring Albert Finney

2:55 The Muppet Christmas Carol

4:25 A Christmas Carol (1999) - starring Patrick Stewart

6:00 A Christmas Carol (2004) - a musical, starring Kelsey Grammer

7:40 Bah, HumDuck - Looney Tunes

8:30 A Christmas Carol (1951) - starring Alastair Sim

10:00 Mickey's Christmas Carol

10:30 A Christmas Carol (1984) - starring George C. Scott

(expect us to be behind anywhere from five minutes to half an hour by the end, and even throughout the day)

Come to see the ones you want to see, leave when you don't want to watch the next one. There will be fresh scones and hot chocolate at 9 AM, noon, and 7:40 PM. Other offerings are happy, if you wish to bring something, especially if they are healthy offerings.

That is all.

Sounds fun. Not sure right now if I can make it (its the saturday after my mom comes home), but I'll see what I can do.

That sounds like kind of fun. Too bad I'm in Arizona forever.

I will be around, but that's a bit too many movies for my stamina. Be in touch.

Heck, that's too many movies for my stamina. There will definitely be some running-away-and-hiding-for-a-while on my part.

So which ones will you be watching?

Definitely the ones at 1, 2:55, 6, and 10:30. And I'll probably be around in the morning, even if not watching. I may actually leave the house at some point and be away for a while, but if any of my friends are there at the time then I probably won't. Unless it's to go pick someone up or drop them off at home.

I had a friend once who watched all 3 LOTR extended editions back to back in one day...

She does it every year on the same day... LOTR day... I think it's sometime in September....

I did that once with some friends. But I think it was like 3 years ago. And we did each movie at a different house, so that broke it up a little.

We've done Star Wars marathons and Indiana Jones marathons for New Year's Day.

So, I will be coming. In the afternoon. At some time. Maybe I'll call before showing up?

Wish I could be there, but alas. I am a thousand miles away.

We'll miss you, UoE.

And you might want to give me a call, m&m. I'm not sure yet, but there may be a time or two when I'll be out of the house.

We've learned something already: do not watch Sesame Street Christmas Carol and Flintstones Christmas Carol right next to each other.

I am heartily surprised. Somehow, we are 20 minutes ahead. Time to go get crackers!
