The face-getting-hot thing happens to me when I eat those kinds of candies, and we're pretty sure I have some sort of sugar allergy/intolerance. So... yeah.

I used to babysit a family of kids that were allergic to some kinds of food dyes, so their mother made them homemade candy all the time because they couldn't have the stuff from the stores. Her candy was really good. That was a fun house to be at.

Neat! I wish my mother made candy... I wish I knew how to make candy, actually. That would be better.

I should look that up.

I made taffy with some guy's grandma over the break. It was good.

I used to make suckers on occasion.

I used to make carmel every Christmas and carmel popcorn balls every Independence Day, but I haven't had a chance the last couple years.

I bought a book about how to make candy once, but I didn't ever get around to making any. I should do that sometime.
