56820--Arizona and water conservation

So, I know that I don't rinse out cans well when I recycle them, mostly because I figure if they're going to melt them down and reuse them, then they'll get rid of impurities anyway.

Also, Rating Pending, we have lawns because we love grass as much as the next guy. We use lawns because they don't die during the winter. And I can't type today. In our neighborhood, at least, we don't really use sprinklers very often, especially this year. We've already gotten 8.27 in. of rain this year! Normally, by this point, we would have gotten 2.5 in. by the end of March. According to the Wikipedia article on deserts, a desert gets less than 10 inches a year. That leaves us about an inch and a half left this year. Which therefore (I suppose) makes us not a desert anymore.
