Introduce Yourselves!
Re: Introduce Yourselves!
You can call me what you want. V is one of those sharp, pointed letters that means business. Defy is also cool, since I'm generally someone who isn't very defiant. You could even call me Deffie if you wanted.

Re: Introduce Yourselves!
Welcome Defy V. What does your avatar mean? (Was this short enough for you?)
Re: Introduce Yourselves!
That's a butterfly diagram. (Google 'butterfly diagram fft' if you're interested.) I chose it because it was the first image I saw in my Pictures folder and I figured it would look decent even 80 pixels by 80 pixels. And it's a lot of sideways V's, which relates to my nym.
Re: Introduce Yourselves!
Greetings,
I am a BYU graduate, now living in the SF Bay area, attending graduate school. I study physics. In Provo, I am a liberal; out here, I am a conservative.
I work in a nuclear physics laboratory, and my avatar is a reference to that.
I enjoy reading the 100 Hour Board, and theboardboard when I should be working, like right now.

Welcome. Just curious about your alias: whence SMP? The first thing it brings to mind for me is symmetric multiprocessing, but I'm not sure if that's what you picked it for or if you had other reasons.

Hello SMP! We like the liberal-for-Provo voices in here.
Also, good job on the name. I will have a hard time giving you a nickname.

The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Re: Introduce Yourselves!
I'm voting for an alternate acronym. Something like, oh I don't know, Smelly Man Person? Or how about Sexy Man Person? Or Stumpy, the Maroon Possum? Or Steve, Morning Platypus? Or Seven Mexican Plumbers? Yeah, I'm going with that one. We'll call you plumb for short.

Welcome, fan man.
Re: Introduce Yourselves!
I'm going to re-introduce myself, since I was here once upon a time...a long long time ago.
I'm a BYU student, I like basketball(Portland Trail Blazers), music (creating and listening), reading (of all kinds), writing, and computer programming.

I read your name as "Rompalot" the first time, and now I'm kind of sad that I was wrong...

You may be wrong, but I think a nickname is born.UnluckyStuntman wrote:I read your name as "Rompalot" the first time, and now I'm kind of sad that I was wrong...

Re: Introduce Yourselves!
Hi everyone!
I've been here before, and I'm back again, coming to you now from Florida with my super hot husband, Prince Phillip. We met six weeks after I got home from the mission, got engaged six months later, then married three months after that. Then six months later we moved our entire lives across the country for law school. And now, life is settled and I have found the Board and the Board Board once again. So, hello again to old friends, and Hi to new ones!

Re: Introduce Yourselves!
Welcome, back, I suppose. A good friend of mine is currently in Florida as well, at law school no less, with his young wife.
