*sigh* Yes. But I'm sad I can't use my Maine song anymore.

Are we going ahead and doing sudden death? I don't see a whole lot of point in waiting a full day...

Well, I'm going to go ahead anyway:

"My name is Yon Yonson, I come from Wisconsin, I work in the lumber works there"
"Yon Yonson" ... Ralph's World...

This is all I've got:

"I thought you were going to sing about growing up in Connecticut!"
from "His Cheeseburger"

I am willing to switch this out for the same song, different state, if ahem. needs Connecticut for her big win.

(I am going to keep thinking, too. It's just this all I've got at this time.)

I don't think I have a Connecticut song, so you're good with that one, I guess.

"Romantic, enchanted, Atlantic City. Down on the old New Jersey shore."

Okay, here's the thing. I have two more possible answers, but each has a issue. One is an abbreviation, so I'm not sure it counts at all. The other definitely has them singing the name of the state... but it's kind of just a three word intro to a different song. Maybe it's a song all on it's own? I'm not sure it counts.

Also, I'm not sure I actually want to win, because I would be terrible at picking the theme for the next round.

You can ask for suggestions via PM, if you like. Or for bob to pick a card from the real game.

It is potentially an issue that the best players may not be the best theme-pickers, and vice versa.

Minnesota's still up? There is one song that you both know with it in it.
He who knows others is clever;
He who knows himself has discernment.
He who overcomes others has force;
He who overcomes himself is strong. 33:1-4

I have had a long discussion with my sister and she thinks she knows which one it is but I sure don't know it (I mean, I know it, but I never would've thought of it). I got it from her but I feel like that would be unfair to use.

I'm super out. Yay for ahem!

I assume you mean this one?

"From the halls of Minnesota, to the shores of Tripoli. We will fight our country's battles in the air, on land and sea."

No? What do you mean that's not it...

Hmph. Now I'M out too. I guess no one wins this round.

*cough*

From the lakes of Minnesota to the ... hills of Tennessee (apparently)

You were so close!!

Well...I have been given a few ideas about theme, if you want. Or you can get some ideas about theme. Or we could vote!

I'm just surprised that Carmen Sandiego never showed up in this round. And as a side note, a little gem that would have fit the round if I was playing and Alaska wasn't already taken:

"In Alaska there is no darkness! Do you realize what that means, Elder? We can tract all night!"
"If you don't put enough commas in, you won't know where to breathe and will die of asphyxiation"

OK, it looks like we're calling ahem. as the winner. Any way you want to pick the next theme with whatever input is fine. (Even if someone else picks the theme, I'd still like you to run the round, because it's nice to rotate that and to have the last winner not be able to win the next game.)

On the forum, yes. Maybe not playing this particular game.
