I had a question about the official song of the Marine's. In the song, (of which a recording can be found on the Wiki article here*), the lyrics read "We fight our country's battle, in the air, on land and sea."
My question had to do with the "in the air" part. I was going to ask how long the Marines had been around, and whether the lyrics had been changed. Wiki told me that they did, in fact, change the lyrics, in order to mirror the addition of an air wing to the Marines in 1942.
