Don't worry, you're not the only one without a life at the moment. I've noticed too.

I submitted a question, that is (I think) fun, and should have a very interesting answer.

Spontaneous Human Combustion...

That is _definitely_ how I want to die...

You're more likely to spontaneously combust while wearing slippers.

When I'm old and married, I figured that the best way to go is by carbon monoxide poisoning. Katydid and I had an odd conversation about this the other day. I decided on several other ways to go as well, just as long as I'm not widowed I don't really care. A tragic car accident would work too, but carbon monoxide poisoning is less painful.

I have always wanted to die by laughter ever since I saw Mary Poppins as a little kid. And then I got asthma, and now if I laugh long enough I can die. The world's funny like that.

Does anyone know anything about imac g3's? I'm having a little trouble, and neither Nanti or I can figure it out.

A link M&M shared with me. Please don't be eating anything upon reading this, it might cause some problems with breathing.

Well she has OS 9.2 or so, and we're trying to view files from her thumb drive and external hard drive. When we plug in the hard drive to the usb, nothing happens, nothing appears on the desktop, nor does the user preferences/control panel thingy register it. The thumb drive registers in the mac control panel but we're still unable to view files as the icon for it doesn't show up on the desktop either. The usb drives appear to work fine, because if you plug in the mouse or keyboard to them, those work just fine.

Sounds like a formatting issue with the drives. Do you know what they are currently formatted as?

If I recall, the thumb drive was fat32, but Yellow M&M would have to confirm that for me.

Hm. It should be able to mount a fat32 drive.

Here are some other things I found:

"Then check if your External Hard Drive is listed in the Apple System Profiler. If the driver listed is “USB Authoring Support” or “Toast USB Support”, disable this Extension(s) in the Extensions Manager. These Extensions can cause a conflict with the Drive."

"A local MS-DOS (FAT32) volume, whether a whole disk or a partition, will not appear in the Finder ("mount") if it is larger than 128 GB."

The second obviously doesn't apply to the thumb drive,

Because you got in on the posting action today? Of course it was our fault that the last one was Sunday at one in the morning... (Not lying, you can check those times.)
