You want to bring that then?
And I'll bring a couple bags of chips.

I would love to, but I'm working, and I'm just offering ideas here.
Or you could make a watermelon "cake".

If you could change it to Saturday, I totally would.
Heck, we could even take a trip to the Creamery using my meal plan.

I could go on Saturday... Not sure if that's actually motivation to change the date though...

We could do a saturday party some other time, but it is too late to change this one now. You guys should have mentioned that Saturday was better for you when we were talking about what day to have it on!

If Sam's bringing chips, and I don't have time to make anything... : P
I may not be able to bring anything. I might have time to make a cake.

As for something nutritious, I can bring some pineapple. I just happen to have some laying around.

You havn't eaten it yet?
I could bring something. I have the entire day to make something, so I'm open to suggestions.

Sorry... I had already made a prior commitment to a friend's "sod laying competition" and he hadn't specified the date until a couple days ago.
So I'll be laying sod on Friday... Winner gets... Congratulations...

Gluten-free chocolate cake with fudge frosting.
That works.
I just found out there's an open house that night for a couple in my ward who are going on a mission. They used to teach me sunday school. It starts at 6:30. I'll only go for a little bit, but I will be late to our party. How late is our party going to go? Usual length (until midnight +)?

Nope, the lounge closes at 11:00, but I don't have it reserved until then, so there is a possibility of us being kicked out before then.
