You know... it's not much of a secret combination if everyone knows about it.

Oops... Oh well. Secret combinations are still fun, even if they're not really secret.

Mwahahaha! Now I know yet another board writers real life name! I'm winning! People that know my name: 3. People whose names I know: 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... (some of those are repeats because of fake 'nyms, but that's okay. Right?) I should say, eight at least.

Hey, uh, just so you know, so you're not caught off guard when they tell you this, but some writers, if not most, don't like when people stalk them. Just thought I'd point that out, as one them told me that a while ago, and basically told me to get a life rather than spend my free time trying to figure out their actual names.

Well, I thought you might have been making a point or something.

Oh, Giovanni, if that is the case I can help you out there. Bob's name starts with an A, followed by an n, o, another n, y, m, the letter o and u and finally s.

;)

It's not that I seek out people's real life names, it's just that I happen upon them. Like yours. Or Chilly's. Or some other people's. Yeah. Oh, and my two writers, whose nyms I won't post on this forum.

I have never gone out of my way to discover a writer's identity. I did discover one, but that was entirely by chance.

Basically, on Google reader it recommends blogs that people whose blogs you read read, or something like that (maybe it's people that read the blogs you read read?). So I read a writer's blog, and then I read another blog, then stuff happened and I realized who a certain writer was. The story was about the same for the other writer I found out.

I came up with an almost suitable nickname for my retarded English teacher. Henceforth and forever, she is to only be known as the friggin' gaffmeister. I apologize if I offended anyone by saying friggin', but that is part of her nickname. (Her last name is Gaffney, hence the nickname.)

Yeah, this is pretty much how it has been for me. It helped that I hung out at a couple Board booths, but if someone didn't want to tell me their name or 'nym, I left it at that. I never tried to find out someone's name. I did find out quite a few names though. Mostly because I already had some relation to the writer, such as being friends with their brother, or things like that.

I am offended that you are using gaff. Samwise wouldn't want you to use his old gaffer's name in vain. Come now Gio.

In other news, the soviets are planning to blow up our museums. Luckily a secret agent was on the case.
