Those 12 days of Christmas

So I am doing the 12 days of Christmas to those who I hometeach, and I need help thinking of ideas for the seven swans a swimming, and everything from nine ladies dancing up.

I would be appreciative of any ideas, suited for a low budget of course, for items that can be related to that day's lyrics.
Like, any ideas of where to buy cheap dancing music (nine ladies dancing)
something for ten lords a leaping (a $5 riverdance cd?)
eleven pipers piping (something musical or piping hot pizza?)
twelve drummers drumming. (A drum of popcorn, which could also be used for day 10 in regards to "leaping" popcorn kernels.)

But please give your input and ideas please. I'm currently on day 4 (yeah, it's early, but people leave for home before the 12 days end, so I adjusted for time.)

How about a cheap recorder (the instrument) for the pipers piping? I believe I saw one at Walmart the other day for less than $2.

Lords a leaping? Sith lords maybe? A small Star Wars action figure?

Those sorts of things are always fun for the giver and the receiver. I've just never understood how advent got wrapped up in the 12 days of Christmas.

Advent is the beginning of the Church Year for most churches in the Western tradition. It begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day, which is the Sunday nearest November 30, and ends on Christmas Eve (Dec 24). If Christmas Eve is a Sunday, it is counted as the fourth Sunday of Advent, with Christmas Eve proper beginning at sundown.

Epiphany is the climax of the Advent/Christmas Season and the Twelve Days of Christmas, which are usually counted from the evening of December 25th until the morning of January 6th, which is the Twelfth Day. In following this older custom of counting the days beginning at sundown, the evening of January 5th is the Twelfth Night. ... In some church traditions, only the full days are counted so that January 5th is the Eleventh Day of Christmas, January 6th is the Twelfth Day, and the evening of January 6th is counted as the Twelfth Night.

Bob actually let me know of that, and while I understand it, and see how it makes sense and ties into the hispanic holiday of day of the Kings/Wisemen, there is the unfortunate fact that I will be home some of those days, and thus unable to give gifts, and that some I hometeach will return to their homes for the full break, so in order to do, with college, I opted early, having started the 4th.

Yeah, it also doesn't help that I am doing it secretly. As in I leave the day's item on the door step with a paper with the song on it and an added thought describing how the item fits the day's lyrics, ring the doorbell and run off like little kid runs out of the class when it is time for recess.

I note that you didn't answer the question... (You don't need to of course, I believe we both know what it is.)

Be that as it may be the worst pick up line ever, I could always be taking the advice of my brother. Actually, maybe I should.

And in other news, I will be using penguins in lieu of swans. Due to the miracle of the dollar store, I have items up until day 11 and 12. I'll probably go for the cheap recorder for day 11.
