I'm so happy that I'm remembered, even after disappearing for a month or so.

I think we've all been remembered, more or less, despite the fact that most of us have been remiss in posting and whatnot.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

I thought it was kind of odd that yesterday he was a freak child molester without a nose, and today he's back to being the king of pop or whatever, but then my roommate said, "I'm sorry to say this... but he kind of had it coming. Dude was a freak." Then I decided I like the sudden change of perception better.

Yeah, I think I like the sudden change of perception. I think his whole life was just tragic. I don't think he was a bad person, and I'm sure that a lot his more freakish tendencies were a result of the horrible abuse he suffered as a child. I think that his father should be in jail. If nothing else comes out of his life and death, I hope it makes society re-think the idea of child stars a little bit.

Also, didn't MJ own the publishing rights to all of the Beatles' music? I wonder what's going to happen with that.

I think that regardless of his tendencies, he is still a human being and thus being dead deserves our respects. In the news and elsewhere we regard him as the king of pop, because that is what he is. It's like Eulogies, most of them mention the great things done in life, the positive things the person will be remembered for. Not their mistakes and other such activities.

Personally, I think making fun of him for child molestation the day of his death and soon afterward is a bit disrespectful. Sure he committed mistakes but he's dead now and none of that matters now. He does deserve our respects though.

Ok guys. I have two quarts of extremely ripe strawberries and one quart of moderately ripe blueberries. I think the strawberries are a little far gone to eat plain, so what should I cook with them?

Cobbler. You should check out Paula Deen's recipe for slow-cooker berry cobbler. Easy and awesome.

Strawberry smoothies or milkshakes. I love blending frozen strawberries with some lemon juice. It's an amazing sorbet. I want some.

I heard that since he was mostly made of plastic, they're going to melt him down and make legos out of him so little kids can play with him for a change.

Okay, I'm using my "influence" (I have no "power") to declare this a No "oh ho ho Michael Jackson molested kids" Zone. The dude died. He may have been merely a punchline as far back as our memories go, but he's still had more influence on music than almost anyone ever, and if nothing else, he's a fellow human being. Don't be immature.

-Foreman, actually not a huge MJ fan, but come on.

'Twas only a joke. And I thought it was pretty funny.

In other news: I leave to go to the airport to go to Europe for ten days right now. See you cats all later.

this will be less exciting for all of you than it was for me, but:

i had mormons on my porch this morning!!!! i'm really not sure why this was so exciting, but i thought it was pretty boss. especially because i just read that question about the white-on-black nametags and then i SAW ONE LIVE AND IN PERSON!!! it was like seeing big foot or something.

also, they were way cute. the end.

Lol! That is pretty sweet. You should have asked them if they knew why their name tags were white on black. ;D

Which is why you invite them in. They spend less time in the hot Texas air and you don't let out all the cold air.
