Favorite Board Game

Post by bobtheenchantedone »

Hooray, Waldorf and Sauron mentioned Encore! I love Encore!

I join Miss Scarlet and The Black Sheep in liking Monopoly. I'm actually collecting Monopoly games, or at least plan to. So far I own one on my laptop and a Disney one. By January I plan to own the Disney special edition, Disney Villains, and the other one I can't remember right now. Mega? Mega might be it.

Acquire is the best game ever. I'm so glad it was mentioned. I always have to convince people to play it, because they think it looks too simple, and every time people come away saying it was one of the best games they've ever played.

I'd have to put Axis and Allies on my list of favorite board games. That and Strat-o-matic Baseball made my childhood very enjoyable. I also like a game called Hotels, that I still play often, even though all the hotels are in shambles.

Acquire sounds like it might be fun. I'll have to check that out.

Chaos is probably my favorite board game. Unfortunately, no one sells it anymore. It's like Chinese Checkers--but you're not sure which pieces are yours.

Call me old-fashioned, but chess is, has been, and presumably will always be my favorite game.

Scotland Yard. Ticket to Ride is pretty fun, too.

Scotland Yard is awesome. I played it for the first time a few weeks ago.

Is Canasta a board game? I think it's a card game.

I love Canasta, but the first time I tried to teach my husband he decided there were too many rules and refuses to play with me. Sad day.

Not only is Canasta not a board game: that person is not a Board reader.
