I note that Kirke, the writer furthest to the right in the political spectrum, has left the board under mysterious circumstances.

I also note that one of the writers furthest to the left--Dr. Smeed--in an apparent attempt to throw off suspicion, stated just two days ago on February 9 that "Using my legendary powers of prognostication, I declare that" all the 100 Hour Board writers will retire before Kirke retires (in the year 2018). http://theboard.byu.edu/index.php?area=viewall&id=55884

Coincidence? I don't think so.

:D Just kidding.

We will miss you P.D. Kirke.

Bye!
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Ah, Kirke knew he was one of my favorites (at least, the long email I sent him last week bemoaning his impending retirement and listing some of my favorite questions by him should've clued him in). I hope he has a great time on his [secret adventure]!

I actually really expected him to retire on the 6th. Yay an extra week of his answers!

Alas, he was one of my favorite post-me writers.

May your adventures be awesome, Captain.

Meh. Never liked him. See ya.

JUST KIDDING. Ha-ha! Good fella, that guy. Sharp. I was a fan. His secret adventure should be pretty awesome, though. Hopefully after an indeterminable amount of time, he'll join the ranks again.

As bonus points for him, he hails from a township less than an hour from my hometownship. And Optimus', which I only mention because he posted right above me. There must be something in the water over there.

Well sir, know, if you are reading this, that I always appreciated the factual way you tackled many questions. No query seemed too great, and you always brought a rationality and cool-headedness that was, at least in my opinion, often underappreciated. Good luck in future endeavors, though, if you bring to them the same attitude as we've seen on this board, you certainly won't need it.

Bye P. D. Kirke! I hope you will stop by the message board every now and then. You wrote some very interesting answers, and I greatly enjoyed your discussion of C. S. Lewis's doctrinal issues (among many other things).

I don't think I've ever seen Ƥ. Ɗ. Kirĸe on the MB. Too bad. I also considered him one of my favorite writers.

I have this vague idea (which could be totally wrong) that he was an engineering major. So it's very possible that like so many engineers, he got a lucrative job offer and bailed out of school to pursue a career. Either way, best of luck to him!

Damasta, I also have a vague idea that he's an engineering major. Maybe that means it's true!

Yep. I killed him. Took him over to Camp Williams and my unit used him for Paladin target practice.

Holy crap, I never realized that I was even close to being that far left! Whoa...

How cruel!

If your unit used him as target practice it must have taken, like, forever to kill him off. Talk about a slow, painful death.

Dastardly, Doctor. Dastardly.

So I know most people suspected Ƥ. Ɗ. Kirĸe of being Matt Meese, but looking at Board Question #56068, it seems he could be the one who "has actually already left the group". What think ye?

You're just saying that because "D. Kirke" sounds like "Derk"

Making it an even more clever name! I love multi-layered puns.

Too bad I'm not in that school of thought. But it would be so awesome.

Wow! I didn't even catch that! I was just going off the fact that they both seem to have made abrupt exits from their respective institutions.
