I thought today was a fantastic day for the board. I really enjoyed many of the questions, including the Disney movies one, the randomness of the cornbread question, the overall interesting-ness of the wifi question, the linguistics question (which was fairly applicable to me), Hobbzipan's answer to the social circle question, the vivid dreaming question (for interesting subject matter, and subtle implications), the mission shirt tie-dye one, the couchsurfing one (really? why would you do that?), (double) (dog) dare you, pantsing v. depantsing (although I agree: it is a stupid and immature thing to do.), "How scary is BYU-I?" because of the wording of the question, the randomness of the pencil question, the (ahem) awkward question, movies, Zelda (oh man how I loved this question), Mormon Lent, and the salt question. Seriously! Can you say "Fantastic day on the board"?

Mad props to the writers for today. Or the only writer, as the case may be.

Yeah, it's just been a good week overall. Makes it pretty hard for me to be able to select "favorites" of the week because it is just so much better as a whole!

I love The Oven. Even though she should've checked the archives for the other cornbread question in recent years. Maybe she just didn't like those recipes, which is acceptable.

Also, I had a friend who decided to take a trip to Asia last summer. Couchsurfing is totally his thing and he loved it. It is legit.

Fantastic day on the board.

Some of my old high school friends couchsurf fairly often. They also hitch-hike, train-hop, street-perform, and dumpster-dive.

Why? Because they spend too much time running around the country to get jobs. Interesting people, though. One of them (I've told stories about him on the Board before as "Dean," a la On the Road) once bought a suit from Saver's and found $400 in the pocket. He bought an accordion with it.

I bought an accordion off of ebay once. When it got to my house, it was broken. So I fixed it. And I know own a working accordion. And I love it. Except there aren't many opportunities in AZ for an accordion player. ] =

Oh, how was it broken and how did you fix it? I have an accordion which kind of works, but it has leaky bellows. I was thinking duct tape? But that would get really sticky and gross. Maybe an iron-on patch?

One of the sound board thingies on the inside was off, so none of the black keys worked, and the C that was right in the middle was broken as well. All I really did was open it up, pop out the soundboard, then shove it back in to place where it looked like it belonged. Except it didn't really fit right, until I heard a "CRACK" as I was closing up shop. I was like "Oh, crap." so I reopened it, and it had snapped back in to place.

Although my bellows I think have a small leak too. But I can't figure out where. Maybe if you got a piece of fabric of some kind, then spread super glue over the top of it? Assuming it wasn't on the fold, of course. You could also take it to a music store and ask them what they would do. Although they might charge you for a consultation. At least, that's what our music store down here would do.
