Random Ramblings of the Sixth Kind
My Institute teacher found out I'm a good pianist this week. The next day he was playing William Joseph and was surprised I hadn't heard of him. (Because good pianists are, of course, supposed to keep track of all pop pianists like Jon Schmidt.)
Everyone should...okay, there's nothing going on up here.

Well you should come to AZ and see William Joseph in concert! And even meet me! For (fairly) inexpensive for a (semi)famous recording artist.C is for wrote:My Institute teacher found out I'm a good pianist this week. Fantasticks is playing one more night (tomorrow night) at Provo High, and y'all should go! Tickets are seven dollars, and for the last performance they're giving all sales to the family of one of the former drama presidents, because her baby sister has cancer and her family doesn't have insurance. Her baby sister, people. And no insurance. So go! It's at seven at Provo High. And one of my brothers is in it, and one of my sisters is assistant stage manager.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Coconut juice is the liquid that's inside the coconut when you first crack it open, and coconut milk is what you get when you squeeze the liquid out of the coconut meat. So coconut juice is pretty watery and much more drinkable than coconut milk. It's very tasty! This one store near me sells big cans of it about twice the size of a soda can, and it has little tiny coconut bits floating in it like the pulp in orange juice. I think it's also called coconut water.Wisteria wrote:Nerdgirl: How does coconut juice differ from coconut milk? Or are they different names for the same thing?
Ugh. Are you serious? Coconut water is not tasty. Unless the canning company's production plant is built in one the most pristine places on earth, coconut water, at least in my opinion, is much less drinkable than coconut milk (and gross). At least coconut milk is full of fat and flavor and is a joy to cook with. Coconut water has no redeeming qualities except for that it would hydrate you if you were stranded on a desert island.NerdGirl wrote:Coconut juice is the liquid that's inside the coconut when you first crack it open, and coconut milk is what you get when you squeeze the liquid out of the coconut meat. I say this having consumed plenty of each in my lifetime--a number of times straight out of the coconut. The only times that it tasted decent were when the coconuts were extremely young.

I've never had bad coconut water out of a can! I've tried to drink it out of a coconut a few times and it was pretty gross and dirty. I am also a huge fan of coconut milk, though, and I've been putting it on my cereal because regular milk is making me sick right now and soy milk has always given me horrible stomach cramps. But I love me a nice big can of coconut juice! I also love beets and brussels sprouts, though, so I realize that I may be somewhat weird in my food choices.Gimgimno wrote:Ugh. Are you serious?
