In the replies to that answer several people expressed interest in meeting up, so we're going to have some kind of a dinner party coming up. If you feel like chatting with a group of people who either don't know quite how we feel about the church or who have decided to leave but are still looking to talk through it, email me at fnagnostic at gmail dot com. We're in your same boat, so we won't judge.

I'm not in that boat, but you all have my deepest sympathies. I believe the Church to be true, so I hope you all find your way back, some day. But regardless, I hope all goes well with you.

I would like to be a fly on the wall during that dinner. I am always fascinated by people's stories about why they leave the church. Sometimes I felt bad as a missionary out visiting inactive members because I would be more interested in hearing their story than trying to help them come back to church.
