Pet peeve of the day:

Anyone describing any sort of legislative process they find even remotely broad or aggressive as "the nuclear option." Not every forceful maneuver is on par with nuclear weaponry.

I got a letter from Geico today. In case I wanted to improve my car insurance rates. But I'll never, ever, EVER use them. You know why?

They addressed it to:

You know, we should have some box we can check that shows our gender or something. I mean, I'm pretty sure I remembered that Gio was a guy, but . . . sometimes I do get lost. And it is funny anytime someone new joins up and things bob is a guy. I guess that hasn't happened for a while though.

Maybe that's why I made my avatar look a bit like me.

Oh, but I try to make it clear I'm a girl by having girly avatars. cherry blossoms, Charlotte, Computer with flowers, etc. I guess the Campanile wasn't too feminine...

but it was awesome.

You should buy a Delorean anyway.

Then put a picture of it as your avatar.

Other icon suggestions include...a rose, a big pink heart, a smiley face with eyelashes...

I dunno. I don't actually recommend any of them.

Yes I am. And I've decided that I don't want the sort of job I thought I wanted when I started my PhD in astrophysics, so I'm going to try to go to med school instead.
