K, I'll go against popular opinion. I like Hobbzipan. I'll be honest, for awhile I was silently in the group that thought the Board was getting a little boring. Hobbzipan brought personality and humor back (and the entire Board followed and everyone seems to be more entertaining now). They tackle all sorts of red questions. So if any of you have ever complained about how long it took your question to be answered, stop complaining about Hobbes and Marzipan. Their entire mission is to stop that from happening.
That said, don't get too turned off from the Board yet. If this is anything like Board Survivor and Board Identity, this won't be solely a Hobbes and Marzipan thing. Perhaps the Borg didn't like them either so it assimilated those two first. (Don't take this as fact, it's my personal speculation. Yellow is a horrible inside informant. You'd think being married to him I would have known about this whole thing long before I did… racka fracka murmur murmur…) (Love you, Yellow!)
And one more Board-defensive argument here. When they Board puts together big events like this, they do it largely for the Readers. It takes a lot of work to put these things together, and it takes the unification (no pun intended) of all the writers. (Which, let's be honest, isn't always easy to get.) Yeah, the writers like doing them because it is something new and different for them, but it's put on for you, the readers. (I suppose that's now us, the readers.) So feel free not to like it, but please don't be hating on it so vocally. If I were the one who had put it all together, I sure wouldn't feel good right now. (For the record, it was not Yellow that put it together. I'm not here fighting for his honor. Actually, he's had nothing whatsoever to do with the heading up of this project.)
Just sayin'. Carry on.

Meh, I appreciate what they do, sure, and it is nice that they are trying to keep themselves new and inventive. This particular one I just haven't found very entertaining; I think the fact that those two had their whole thing going on pre-borg kinda soured me on it.
I hope no one takes these criticisms too personally. However, once someone puts their work in front of the public eye, they open themselves to both praise and criticism, and they have to be willing to accept both (albeit with a grain of salt). I'm sure there are quite a few with praise to give about the situation, just few so far have done so.

Despite having known about all this all day, I have just now finished reading the Board and blog.
I understand how much work it takes for the writers to get this kind of thing going and stuff, and I love them all for it, even if this one doesn't yet seem to be as much fun as Board Identity was. Man, I loved that one. I have the blog bookmarked and still read it every now and again. Still, I am definitely willing to give this Borg thing a chance.

The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

The one called "love and hugs" is my favorite so far. I also like (or hate) all of Patricia's egregious grammar errors. Way to be an English Major.

Quoting this in its entirety to save for posterity.bobtheenchantedone wrote:Despite having known about all this all day, I have just now finished reading the Board and blog.

I don't know if I'm making sense; it's late and I'm not in my right mind right now. What I want to say is that while this one doesn't yet seem to be quite as much fun as Board Identity, I'm excited for it and will follow closely. Also it's getting me to remember a couple of blog writing projects I've been considering for ages.

I could edit that quote if I wanted to, Marduk. But I suppose I'll let you have it.
C4, I am loving Patricia as well. Gio, I agree that the blog is much more fun than the new answers on the Board.
Lastly, I love how I wrote that at 9:16 and then said I was going to bed - I didn't get to sleep until after one.

I'm confused what the point is. To correctly guess who will not be assimilated/be assimilated last? I look forward to finding out.
The Monk stands for emotion. mild-mannered, meek, low ...
Oh, of course. Humble Master.
Edit: I suppose there's no harm in discussing all this? Since we haven't been told anything yet.
