...

All righty then.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

There was another one a few years ago where a couple in Germany or somewhere got married and then found out they were actually twins who had been adopted by different families.

Hmm...that kind of sounds like the plot to The Broken Sword, by Poul Anderson.

I think the grandma marrying her grandson story is proof that some forms of insanity are genetic.

My sister met a handsome nice guy at BYU. They dated a few times, and then he took her to meet his parents. Both my sister and her date were amazed that his dad could immediately identify her parents by name (which are very unusual names). Turns out he loved genealogy and my sister and her date were second cousins. The young man suddenly lost interest in dating my sister again.

My sister and her husband are fifth cousins once removed (or something like that). It was easy to tell.

Funny thing is, they're further apart on the family tree than his parents (who didn't know that until after they were married).

They're a great couple, but I can't tell you how tired I am of the "Are you sure they're not related?" question. "Oh! Oh my goodness! We never thought of that! I mean, yeah, they have the same last name but why would we ever do a genealogical check? Thank goodness you asked that, we'll do that right away and call off the wedding!"

*cough*

Same last name save one letter = a pain in the check.

Better than having the same first name.
