Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
Thanks for the tips, LJ.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
I'm going home tomorrow for 6 whole weeks!!!!!
Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
I would like to tell a story.
Once upon a time, my sister was perennially angry with me. We had some pet snakes at our house for a few minutes for some reason, and we all wanted to pet them! Except her. And the very mention of it made her burst into tears and exclaim, "WASH YOUR HANDS!!!"
So we did. But then she yelled at my mom for not using soap. My mom asked, "Naan, why are you mad?"
She replied, "I'm not mad."
I am not good at having patience with this sister, so I said, "Okay, why are you upset?" [actually my mom might've said this one -- she's not good with patience either]
"I'm not upset!"
"Why are you crying?"
"I'm not crying." (She was. She was also clearly mad and upset.)
There was only one more question for me to ask. "Why are you a girl?"
"I'm not --" She stopped, let a grin escape, then became even more obviously lachrymose, upset, and mad.
The rest of us thought it was hilarious. She hates the rest of us.
The end.
/totally random anecdote

I'm going to Idaho tomorrow for a week! Woohoo! My mom and I are going to have a sewing party and there will be Fun Times had for all. So if you don't see me for a week on here, my mom must be more fun than you guys. (But please don't take offense if that turns out to be true. I still love you all.)

I've been in Ohio all week, visiting my folks. It has been fun.

Shameless self-promotion:
I'm in a trombone barbershop quartet, and we're playing at the Provo Farmers' Market at 10am this morning! It's going to be pretty sweet! You guys should all come check it out!

I hope we didn't bug you by yelling "Darth Fedora!" across the park. We really wanted to say hi. Thanks for visiting us! You guys sounded pretty good.

Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
Thanks, bob! My friends were like, "what did she just call you?" and I was like, "uhh don't worry about it."
Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
Many of you have probably seen this before, but I hadn't.

Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
It's not in the archives, but we noticed it a while back and I tracked down the guy who was writing it. It turns out he meant it to be a private blog (for family and close friends), just for fun. He'd heard of the Board, but never really read it, though clearly he got some inspiration from it. I corresponded with him a little and he sounded like a nice guy.C_is_for wrote:Many of you have probably seen this before, but I hadn't.

I thought there was a question in the archives about it. Shows what I know.

Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
You know, I think that the thing on the bottom about who visited today is amusing. Because I look at it and am like "What the crap? 100 Typing Monkeys visited today?"
Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
Okay, weird. I was mostly wondering where on earth the name came from! I had in mind some kind of giant conspiracy called the 100 hour board that you guys are patterned after and most of us don't know about, but if he's heard of you (so you say) then there goes that theory.
Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
I am at work today. So I can go on a cruise next week.
