Summer Plans?

Post by C is for »

So I just randomly got curious.

Anyone doing anything exciting this summer?

If not, what boring quotidian things are you doing this summer?

I'm doing the exact same thing I've been doing all year: reading too much.

Yellow has a full-time job. I am a full-time mom. Our lives don't change one bit seasonally.

Except perhaps Dragon Baby and I will take more walks and play outside more in between naps. And I will be remarkably happier for all the flowers and warmth and sandals and capris.

Hopefully, I'll be making lots and lots of bracelets. But if I don't need lots and lots of bracelets (that is, if they don't sell well), I'll have to get a real job. : P

I'm applying to medical school this summer! And yeah, it's probably going to take most of the summer.

My summer plans are to have a summer. Yeesh, it was really pretty, but I did not especially love seeing wet snow all over my lawn this morning. If I achieve that, I plan to grow several kinds of heirloom tomatoes and basil in my yard and eat like a queen. Read lots of books, explore my city, camp, and go on a cruise with my sisters. The big trip probably won't happen until fall- one nice thing about having a job is that I can take my time off whenever I want.

Yeah, my summers aren't very different from the rest of the year. I do plan to give birth to a baby girl at the beginning of September, but mostly I plan to work and play with my husband and son before that. And go to a family reunion.

I plan on finding a job, reading, and completing my move into my own room. But that last one should be finished by the end of today.

Hooray Unit! It worked!

One more for me: not only do I plan to sell so much crafting that I don't need a real job, I also plan to get QM & Co. officially registered and licensed and everything as a small business!

I'm planning on making several things out of duck tape, reading to much and somehow also have a social life.

Update for me: my son got into a really good summer school! So I will spend most of my summer driving him to and from that. But for a child with disabilities, finding a school that can help is an answer to many prayers, so I am excited about it.
