Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
Yeah, I noticed that. It is now asking me to like "I don't watch a lot of tv these days".

Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
I just read a humorous (yet accurate) comment about Facebook:
Having said that, everything you enter in Facebook should be considered viewable by everyone on the planet. Facebook doesn't exactly have a long and reliable history of protecting the identity of the people who use it. They'd sell you for a nickel. They'd probably send someone to strangle your cat if they thought your angst-ridden posts would generate a few thousand more page views. It's not exactly like this should come as a surprise to anyone, especially those of us who actually use it.

It only took three days of travel (with interludes in two large, unfamiliar cities), but I'm hoooooooooome.

Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
I had a dream last night that I emailed Bob Dylan and asked him to help me with some cause, and he emailed back and was like, "Yeah, man, I'll help, and do you have a blog, man, because I'd really like to read your blog and know what you have to say about stuff." So I was freaking out and trying to convert my never-updated cooking blog into a political blog so Bob Dylan could read it!

This most definitely was a dream. No one has understood anything that Bob Dylan has said. Ever. Even in writing.NerdGirl wrote:I had a dream last night that I emailed Bob Dylan and asked him to help me with some cause, and he emailed back and was like, "Yeah, man, I'll help, and do you have a blog, man, because I'd really like to read your blog and know what you have to say about stuff." I would just like to point out that I did not write the question about internet dating. I have no idea who did, but clearly they don't know me. I suppose I shall have to make my presence on the actual board a bit more obvious.

That happened to me once! Someone asked a question about what height of girls is the most attractive to guys and signed it "nerd girl". There are impostors out there!!!Unit of Energy wrote:I would just like to point out that I did not write the question about internet dating. I have no idea who did, but clearly they don't know me. Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
I just missed the bus to church because it came early and it's Sunday, so they don't come very often, and now the missionaries are going to be more convinced than ever that I'm inactive. They were already convinced that I was becoming in active because back in May I got really sick and ended up in the hospital one Sunday, then I was still too sick for a couple of weeks after that to get through the 40 minute bus ride to church without throwing up, then I was back for a couple of weeks, and then I went to Alberta for 6 weeks.

Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
I was on my way to church, late due to a belligerent child, planning to leave early due to not feeling well. Then I fell. So now I'm sitting on the couch with ice on my ankle and I'm never wearing heels again.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

I was in Alberta not long ago - Edmonton, to be specific. It was a lovely place but poutine is gross.

Re: Random Ramblings and the Deathly Hallows
You are correct on both accounts. Although I do have my own homemade version of poutine that involves cheddar cheese and homemade mushroom gravy on homemade oven-baked potato wedges that I don't think is gross. But you haven't seen truly nasty poutine until you've been to Halifax. Here you can get donair poutine, which is regular poutine topped with donair meat and Halifax donair sauce (a mixture of condensed milk, garlic, vinegar, and sugar) and Newfie poutine, which is regular poutine topped with stuffing. You can also get deep-fried pepperoni on it.Hypatia wrote:It was a lovely place but poutine is gross.
