Favorite quote from my mom ever "How did you manage to make him think it was his idea?", about my ride to Idaho offering me the ride.

Yay Imogen! I hope all goes well and you have fun with your family.
Re: Random Maids a'Milking!
Heh. A couple of my friends performed Enchantment Passing Through for a dinner theater thing we did. Except at the dress rehearsal, they did all the dialog with... um... "fabulous gay guy" accents (I don't know how to describe that any other way). And it makes me giggle every time I think of it. Hee... "I will take you sailing!"

Hooray for musicals! Random is rehearsing for one now.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Re: Random Maids a'Milking!
I made it to Rexburg safely, and the drive with 3d wasn't awkward. Although I don't know how tomorrow will go, what with my roommate's comment on his facebook status last night. He didn't see it before the drive today.
Re: Random Maids a'Milking!
I went Facebook stalking to try and figure out what you were referring to, then got derailed because we have surprising friends in common and lots of people that should be my Facebook friends but aren't in common as well. But I'm pretty sure you weren't ever in my ward...especially since they're acquaintances from all over the map.

I'm always surprised by mutual friends. If I knew who you were to facebook stalk you I might be able to tell you how I know some of the friends.
Re: Random Maids a'Milking!

Re: Random Maids a'Milking!
Imogen, Hooray!! I'm so glad. Best performances ever are the kind that should be recorded...
Unit, thanks to Overheard I discovered the infamous status and what your roommate said (I guess I'm just pro at this). Hopefully not too awkward! As long as you don't (didn't?) bring it up you should be fine.

I'm just planning on pretending that it never happened, although I wouldn't mind if he took her advice to heart,

Did anybody else miss the point of what President Packer was trying to say today? I loved Elder Holland's talk, but I kept turning to my roommate and asking "what point is he trying to get across?" about President Packer. It just seemed rambly to me!
Re: Random Maids a'Milking!
I'm pretty sure it was something about faith. Or was that Elder Holland?

Re: Random Maids a'Milking!
I'm sad I missed it. I was in a ward where we talked more about getting married and the importance of not putting it off than we do in Marriage Prep.
Re: Random Maids a'Milking!
I think President Packer was talking about fathers.
In other news, I am feeling very nostalgic about Myst and want to play. Unfortunately, none of the games are on my laptop, nor do I have the cds with me.

Oh man. Myst was one of those games that frustrated me so much that I eventually gave up on it. Then I later discovered the spoilers online and it was fun for a good 30 minutes.
President Packer covered several topics. Fathers was probably the main one, although he was using it in a unique context that was more like "treat everyone like you would your own son". He also spoke about listening to the Spirit, I think. By the way--me and my hubby were trying to figure out if this was a conference for married wards only, or if singles were included. Some of the topics seemed particularly family-oriented. Anyone know?

I am in a singles ward and we were supposed to go, so I say yes, it was for both single and married folks.
