The bathroom fan sounds like it's chanting "wa-hoo-wa-hi-ah-ho-ho-ho" like the fish in Finding Nemo... I need to go to sleep.

I slept last night. I'll have to ask my roommate if I tossed and turned again. I haven't been sleeping well lately, oddly it has coincided with my sleeping in my bed instead of the couch, but I think it has more to do with stress than anything else.

Note to self: going to bed at 5:30, even when one is playing DoTA (which is of course awesome) and with no particular obligations the next day, STILL bad idea.

Unless it will get one's girlfriend out of going running...

Unfortunately, it no longer sounds like that, so it was either exhaustion-induced delirium, or aliens were invading at the time.

The first answer to that question is probably one of my favorite answers, ever.

Today while I was speaking at another ward (somehow I got put on the return missionary circuit) I was released from 2 of my 3 callings in my absence. Then after church I got called to "the scariest calling." It's likely my making so many astute comments in Sunday School had something to do with it (but what was I supposed to do? It was Isaiah and no one else was commenting).

No pigs to be had, sadly.

But there were plenty of exotic 'lands to explore and Kreb-children to cuddle.

Uh, Gospel Doctrine teacher? Is that "the scariest calling?" I hope not. That's actually one of the few worthwhile callings.

Gospel Doctrine is actually my mom's favorite. I've always heard that the scariest calling was Nursery Leader (though after a bit of substituting myself, I don't really think it is). Bishop, though? Now that's scary. You lose a couple inches the moment the mantle falls on you. Lucky for us girls, we don't get that. Instead, we get to be Bishop's Wife.

Is "Bishop's Wife" an official calling?

I do think it's a little scary, mostly because I don't like to talk. But those are the bishopric's words, not mine. I'm looking forward to continuing to be a ward celebrity.

And my home ward changed bishoprics yesterday. The bishop is the father of 14. His oldest 5 kids are in my singles ward, and the daughter I congratulated was not excited. And neither is his wife, according to my mom. Bishop's wife isn't an official calling, but you have to sacrifice a lot of time with your husband. And, if you're my mom, you have to make dinner for the ward every month (but that was a single's ward).

Yeah, C4 is right. Also, it is is a big enough burden that you can't be the president of Primary or Relief Society while your husband is bishop. At least, that is what happened in our ward. Our Primary president got released when her husband became Bishop, despite only having her calling for a month or two.
