#60635 - Bread Lady

Post by wryness »

Oh, this made me laugh. (Especially the linked question, #49797.) I have met this woman, and she was everything everyone has said she is. (Including -- it seems -- a scammer; this is apparently the THIRD YEAR IN A ROW that she is trying to go see her kids for Christmas. Aaand I'm pretty sure that she told my roommates and me that she wasn't able to spend Christmas with them last year. LIAR!)

She sat on our couch, too. Has anyone else met this interesting character?

Two years ago, she came to my house asking for donations/bread sales to send her son on a mission. Sketchy.

(By the way, her bread looked totally gross. We just gave her some loose change.)

We had a pastry lady come by once, does that count?

Some lady came by over the summer looking to pay for her kids to come out to Utah from some other state. She asked for money, but was willing to take food as well. We gave her a can of salmon. After she left, my roommate told me then same lady had come by when we lived in wyview three years previous.
