I also enjoy shelling pomegranate kernels. I like the look of a bowl full of little rubies. Or do you have the pinker variety I've heard called "Dixie?" It does getting tiring, though, when you do it for about 18 hours on one day, and come back and do it for 10 hours the next day, as I did last Friday and Saturday.

Yeah, I don't think it'd be fun for that long. :) And yes, mine are rubies. And so tasty! Even Dragon Baby is loving them.

You've hit on what is undoubtedly the greatest flaw in what we're saying. Breaking up is horrible, and that in itself might be enough reason to disregard any other good reasons we might give. If you can find someone to date who's willing to go along with it, at least.

Tao, you've also commented that you can't really control how much you invest in a relationship, other than time and money, but I'd like to disagree there, too. Another thing that comes to mind is the level of physical involvement. Generally speaking, I'm not willing to be physically involved with a guy without some understanding about commitment. The greater the physical affection, the more my emotions are going to be involved. That's not something I take lightly.

Good point (and one I can't believe we didn't mention before).

On a random note I'm about to leave on the longest vacation of my life. Four weeks in India. Today will probably be the last day I post until 2011.

Try to behave yourself Marduk while I am away.

But I do know that my relationship with Yellow is a bit of an oddity in how we handle communication and has been since we were dating. If you go back and read relationship questions from when we were both writing and after we started dating, you'll see that we pushed consistently for there to be more communication in relationships. And I think our relationship is much stronger than it could have been because we were completely open and honest from the very, very beginning.

We're having tacos for dinner. That's close to enchiladas, right?

Though, my niece and nephew that helped make everything ate quesadillas instead. Though, through bribes and deals we at least got them to put some taco meat in the quesadilla. Heck, we even got my brother to eat a tomato (which he hates with a passion) in order to get my niece to eat some taco meat. haha.

I had a dream this afternoon that a question I asked the Board (which is slightly over-hours) was rejected for being "too boring to answer." In the past 48 hours or so I've also dreamed that I was performing in a play that I hadn't rehearsed, that I was at an all-night self-esteem seminar that involved swimming lessons, that I was driving a car through some very rich person's house, and that I was on the run from the CIA. Apparently I shouldn't watch Chuck while running a fever.

We went to the beach for ENTIRELY TOO LITTLE TIME today. Just enough to take some pictures. And that was all the beaching we are going to do this trip! This makes me very sadface.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

So, our landlord brought us a turkey on Saturday (how awesome is that?). We cooked it up for some friends last night, and it is seriously the best turkey I've ever had in my entire life. But I don't know why...we didn't baste it, we didn't stuff it, we didn't do ANYTHING special. We just put foil over it and tossed it in the oven. Go figure? At any rate, it's GOOOOOD!

I keep getting a phone call from this guy with a really heavy accent asking for Cari Bradley (sp?). He doesn't seem to believe me when I tell him that that is not my name, nor do I know anyone by that name. He'll repeat my phone number, which is correct. And keep asking me if I'm sure I'm not Cari Bradley. Yeah, pretty sure on that. I can't just ignore that number because he calls from a different number each time. I'm the Primary president and get all sorts of calls from people I don't have programmed in, so I can't just ignore all unknown phone calls. He left a voicemail once and from what we can figure out (the accent is REALLY heavy), Cari's brother or something is in trouble financially with some school and listed Cari as a contact. I'm starting to get frustrated with him, but I'm pretty sure he's frustrated with me, too, since today when he called and I said, rather tersely, "There is no Cari Bradley at this number!" he just hung up on me. The guy is seriously buggin' me. Can't he just trust me when I say I'm not Cari Bradley and put a note saying as much in his computer instead of continuing to call, hoping that one day I'll magically have changed personas?

The Huge Storm of the Century that's supposed to snow in Utah tonight is entering Salt Lake right now- the clouds swept in super fast about half an hour ago and it just started snowing. We're assuming it's going to be a huge storm like predicted and we're having a snow-in party. For which we are excited :-)
