Encore-Numbers
Encore-Numbers
This time, there must be at least one number in the phrase. Variations such as "first," "twice," or "third" are acceptable. "Last," "next," and "many" are not valid as they have no fixed numerical value.
My entries:
"Eight six seven five three oh nine! Eight six seven five three oh nine!"
--"867-5309" by Tommy Tutone
"When you choose the very first step on the road you also choose the last."
--"Opposition" from My Turn on Earth

I'm aware this is normally a chant, but they used to sing it on Barney.

"One, two, three four, tell me that you love me more."
Feist, "One Two Three Four" or "1234"

Inside Out, "Coal Mine Medley"

The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.
Re: Encore-Numbers
If Roman numerals don't count, rest assured that I know the part of the song that has actual numbers too:
'Well there's I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII IX X XI XII XIII XIV XV XVI XVII XVIII ... wheels on a big rig'
"Eighteen wheels on a big rig" by Ralph Covert I mean Ralph's World
(It was tempting to divide the wheels of the big rig by pi, but this is the coolest part of the song)

Is the first round going for two days, again?
Re: Encore-Numbers
Day 1 started around 10 last night and I was planning it last until midnight tonight (so a 26 hour day). If someone really wants to start tomorrow, I'll let them, but it'll officially be Day 2 so they'll have to put in a double entry. After that, though, no more catch up.

Re: Encore-Numbers
I vote that when a new day starts, someone puts "NEW DAY" or "DAY X" in really large font as a separate post. Just cuz that's why I only ever do one entry. I forget and don't care enough to do the math to figure out when the next day is.
As for my song, we're going with another eSesame Street song, that I hope is actually different, but can give no proof without hearing Katya's song sung.

Is that the animated one with the marble and the disco colors?Dragon Lady wrote:As for my song, we're going with another eSesame Street song, that I hope is actually different, but can give no proof without hearing Katya's song sung.

OK. The only reason I like having a long 1st day is to get as many people involved as possible. (And I like Dragon Lady's suggestion, too.)Dead Cat wrote:Day 1 started around 10 last night and I was planning it last until midnight tonight (so a 26 hour day). Ok, I just looked it up on you tube, and yes, that's exactly it. You can see it here if you wanna reminisce: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDm0PqjAF78
And for what it's worth, I don't know that I've ever seen it. I think I know the song from a roommate or something.

Re: Encore-Numbers
So, let me know if this kind of thing counts. This isn't the song I planned on doing today, but it happens to be blasting through the house and I can't concentrate on my own lyrics. If I need to choose one I'm not currently listening to (however unplanned it was) I'll try again. Just didn't feel like letting it go to waste if it was going to be played in the first place.
"I remember how it felt sitting by the water, and every time I look at you, it's like the first time"
Taylor Swift's new hit single, I think called "Mine"
