Nice! I know there's at least one more in that play, but I don't know the song well enough to use it.Cindy wrote:I hadn't thought of that one yet, but I was planning on using one from the same opera:Katya wrote:Now that I know Cindy is Gilbert & Sullivan-savvy, I think I need to hurry up and use those songs:

Re: Encore-Numbers
I totally should have gotten to Pirates before you guys did! I was THE authority on P of P in high school. They did it the year after I graduated, and the drama teacher sought me out after I saw it and asked how it was. I could also do it by myself in under ten minutes...
"Oh no, there's not one maiden here, whose homely face and bad complexion have caused all hope to disappear of ever winning man's affection!"
Pirates of Penzance, "Oh, is there not one maiden breast?"
"Poor wand'ring one, thou though hast surely strayed, take heart of grace, thy steps retrace, poor wand'ring one."
Pirates of Penzance, "Poor Wand'ring One"

The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.
