"Don't cry, Daniel. Fear not, Daniel. Don't you know you're not alone? There is one who is watching you. He listens when you pray."

Veggie Tales, "Where's God when I'm Scared?"

"She took him by the yellow hair and also by the feet / And threw him in the old draw well fifty fathoms deep."

Steeleye Span, "Little Sir Hugh"

I was all set to type two whole verses to include both colors, and then I realized that the color closest to the number was yellow! Hooray!
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Okay, I'm not supposed to be awake this late, but I lost track of time.
It's Day 16, Going on 17...
And, per the patron saint's suggestion (although I'm pretty sure I would have thought of it sooner or later--it's just going to be sooner this way), today you may not use any number that anyone has used in any entry this round.

So here's today's banned singing list*: 0-18, 20, 22-25, 27, 28, 30, 35, 40, 45, 47, 50, 51, 55, 60, 62, 64, 76, 85, 92, 96, 99, 104, 110, 500, 1000, 1066, 1776, 1979, 96000, 525600, 100000, .25.

*I am not accountable for you getting kicked out due to any typos or other mistakes in this list. It exists only for your convenience and is by no means law.

**If someone today takes the number you were going to use, so sad for you.

". . . Half of George Washington's head, three-quarters of George Washington's head, all of George Washington's head."

-They Might Be Giants, "Violin"

The funny thing is, I thought of that song before I read Katya's post.

When you were 17, you went to the prom. When Harry Potter was 17, he buried Dobby without magic, robbed Gringotts, became the Master of Death, talked with dead people, died, came back to life, defeated Voldemort, and lived in a tent.

Well, I thought I'd do something interesting today. Whatever hour it is (military time), take that number and add 50. That's the number you're using in the song today. And you'd better hurry and get the song posted while it's still that hour, or you'll have to come up with something else.

In other words, I want this topic to die, and unlike Harry, stay dead.

Bah. It wasn't in your list originally (yes I'm aware of your disclaimer.) Its just as well, nothing more annoying than poring through twelve pages to try and find an unused number. Nothing worse than a game that requires tedious work.

Um, yes it was there the whole time. If you hadn't noticed, there isn't anything on that post that says "Last edited x:yz p.m. edited n times in total."

I pick a color that seems to suit whatever I was saying. Harry Potter screams "green" to me. Although, looking back at it, it does seem a tad bright. But I'm not changing it now or this conversation will seem really weird to anyone who reads this later.

I think you have to mention both a mother and a father. You shouldn't have too much trouble pulling out the mama lyric. She'd be proud indeed.
Did Defy V ever post lyrics with "mother"? (If so, I'm not seeing it.)

Oh no, I forgot! And that song talks about mothers right before that line. I guess I'm out, which is just as well because I think I'm out of songs.

True. In my sleep addled mind, I had remembered the wrong number I was using. Thanks Katya. Which means, now I have to think of some military number plus fifty?...

This is why I shouldn't assume that I have translation skills.

Re: Encore-Numbers

Allow me to possibly be a bit offensive.

I don't like how this round ended. It was fun at first to have these challenges, the restrictions, to work around; the topic was far too broad for it to be at all difficult. However, as the restrictions became more stringent and the why-won't-you-lose-already attitude became more obvious the game was no longer fun. I would have dropped out days ago, but was too stubborn and proud to be knocked out by the increasingly difficult additions to the topic.

I said back in the musicians round that I did not agree with starting a topic, playing for a few days, and then adding restrictions to thin the herd and get on with the next round already. I now request that this does not happen again. Please, everyone, make your topic narrow from the beginning.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.
