I don't like how this round ended. It was fun at first to have these challenges, the restrictions, to work around; the topic was far too broad for it to be at all difficult. However, as the restrictions became more stringent and the why-won't-you-lose-already attitude became more obvious the game was no longer fun. I would have dropped out days ago, but was too stubborn and proud to be knocked out by the increasingly difficult additions to the topic.

I said back in the musicians round that I did not agree with starting a topic, playing for a few days, and then adding restrictions to thin the herd and get on with the next round already. I now request that this does not happen again. Please, everyone, make your topic narrow from the beginning.
Sorry Bob and everyone else. I definitely have been acting like a jerk. I didn't restrict the numbers in the beginning because I didn't realize that I should, and when I added the restrictions, at first it was fun, but you kept on outsmarting me. This thread has gone much longer than any of the others and Katya has more posts in it than any other thread she's written in. It shouldn't be like that.
If you guys want to continue this thread, I'm okay with that (and today's restriction is officially lifted and the day is extended to tomorrow), but it would probably be best for everyone if I kept away from it from now on. If you guys want to start another round, that's good too, but I just need a break from Encore. Maybe the round after next I'll come back.

Since nobody posted yesterday, it looks like we had a 4-way tie between me, bob, Cindy and Marduk. Any ideas as to how to resolve it?

Don't we have a rule that the person that won last time can't win this time either? So bob can't win. Not sure about the resulting three-way...rock paper scissors?

Aww.

Back to a more competitive vein, I'm fine with someone assigning us numbers and going to random.org to pick a winner (but it can't be me, because I'm not impartial).

Did we instate this rule before the round began? I don't remember . . .

I'm willing to do that if you want, since I will rarely, if ever, win.

That's OK with me. (And I'm suggesting this just for this round, not as a general solution.) Let's wait to see what the other "finalists" think.

So... is someone going to do that random.org thing? I'd really like to keep playing.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Ok… we'll go in that order.

1. Katya
2. bob
3. Marduk
4. Cindy

And the winner is….

Katya!

(Ok, this kind of bugs me to death. A friend of mine did several giveaways, first to the circus, then to Disney on Ice. I was the first commenter on her blog every time, but kept joking that I'd never get it, because 1 is never chosen randomly. And it wasn't ever chosen for all of those giveaways. Now #1 is chosen. [sigh]
