Oh, me too. Because it feels like now they're not even going to bother to get to know me. But I'll give chilly the benefit of the doubt and assume that she meant she missed all of us that she already knew.

I had a professor that once told us to took 7 ups to make up for every 1 down. So any time you say something mean or hurtful to a person, you needed to tell them 7 nice things to bring them back to where they were before you talked to them.

This applies to my life so much right now.

As in, you're dealing with hurtful things being said to you? Or you're needing to balance offering criticism with offering praise as well?

I keep my criticism to a minimum by just hardly ever saying anything ever. (o: (Sorry for stealing your smile, Chilly. I thought that statement sounded like you.)

It just ... someone kinda hurt me last weekend, even though I tried not to let it hurt and I've tried not to hold it against him. But I'm struggling still, and I think it's probably because I haven't had 7 nice things happen that are big enough to cover the hurt (that I don't even think should be there!). So yes. I'm dealing with hurtful things being said to me. This is so on-topic and applicable to other people! *loves talking about herself*
